The beaches people actually drive to

Filter by what matters on the day. Every card shows the leash rule, whether dogs may enter the water, and the gate fee — or says plainly that we have not confirmed it yet.

Pick the coast you can actually drive to today

The name says Dubai. The coverage does not stop there — Abu Dhabi has the most beaches on the list, and Fujairah has the only page on the east coast anywhere.

How we verify

We check, and we tell you when we can't

Other guides tell you a beach exists. We tell you what happens when you get there — and when we genuinely do not know, we say so rather than filling the gap with a guess.

Every claim has a source

Operator statements, municipality lists and official tourism pages rank above blogs. Where a claim rests only on a community post, the card says so. Nothing is aggregated into a star rating we cannot back up.

Every page carries a date

UAE beach rules change without notice, and a guide with no date is a guess. You will find Last verified: 3 August 2026 at the top of every beach page, and a public corrections log for anything we got wrong.

Gaps are marked, not filled

Roughly a third of our fields are still unconfirmed. Those show as Not confirmed yet with the specific question we are trying to answer — so you know exactly what to watch for on the day.

What the badges mean

Four labels do all the work on this site. None of them are decoration.

Officially designated
A named dog beach. An operator or municipality has said dogs belong here. Rules are posted on site.
Tolerated, not designated
Dogs are accepted, not invited. A public beach where owners go without trouble. Good manners keep it that way.
Verified
We have primary confirmation. An official source, or two independent dated reports that agree with each other.
Not confirmed yet
An open question, and an invitation. We have not confirmed this one. If you have been recently, you can close it for everybody.

When sources disagree, you see both

Live example — can dogs swim at Palm West Beach?

single secondary source
Dogs may swim at Palm West Beach.
Noble Veterinary Clinic
four sources
Dogs must stay out of the water.
Doggie Adventures in Dubai, Where My Paws At, and two dated visitor reports

What we publish: Unsettled. Four sources beat one, and the Dubai emirate rule points the same way — but none of them is the operator, so we will not state it as fact. Walk your dog on the sand and assume the water is off limits until the signage says otherwise.

Help us check

Been to one of these beaches recently?

Most of what is still missing can only be answered by somebody who was standing there. Three questions come up on nearly every beach, and any one of them helps.

  • What times was the beach actually open?
  • Were dogs on leads, or running free?
  • Is there parking, shade, or anywhere to rinse a dog off?

We credit contributors by first name unless you would rather stay anonymous, and we date every change on the corrections log.
